Prenatal Yoga with Jennifer Biesenthal (in English)
When a woman becomes pregnant, she is embarking on a brand new phase of life, full of excitement, hope and joy but it can also be a time of great worry for mums-to-be, trying to navigate their way through the many changes their body will go through and the worries for their unborn baby. This can lead to both mental and physical stress on the body and in addition to the disruption of the entire hormone balance, can leave the mum-to-be feeling overwhelmed.
During this delicate time, it can be helpful for many women to find a place of rest and relaxation. Pregnancy can be demanding on a woman’s body, however with the correct selection of asanas accompanied by pranayama and relaxation, many complaints can be alleviated.
Starting from July 1st, this 6 week prenatal course will focus on helping to maintain a healthy mind and body during this precious time, and allowing you the space and time to connect further with your baby. We will focus on poses that will increase flexibility and strength in preparation for birth and breathing and relaxation techniques to make the remainder of your pregnancy and labour more comfortable.
