300-Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training

A modular programme for yoga teachers ready to deepen their knowledge, refine their teaching, and build a sustainable, authentic career.

Yoga Alliance Registered · 300-Hour CPD

March 2027 – November 2027

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

This 300-hour advanced training is designed for qualified yoga teachers who are ready to go deeper. Across five specialist modules, you will develop mastery in breathwork facilitation, yoga philosophy, sequencing, hands-on teaching, and the professional skills needed to build a long, sustainable career.

Each module stands alone and can be booked independently. Together, they form a complete advanced training that moves you from knowledgeable teacher to confident, skilled practitioner and professional.

YOUR PATH THROUGH
THE PROGRAMME

Rather than existing as its own module, teaching methodology is woven throughout the entire programme. You will develop continuously through teaching practice, observation, peer and mentor feedback, practical assessments, reflective journalling, class planning, and personal teaching assignments.

All modules are available as standalone bookings, or you can join the full training programme for the complete certification pathway.

Module 1 | Foundations of Breath Teacher Training with Katy

(80 hours)

Format: 3-Day Intensive · 4-Week Online “Anatomy of the Breath” (4 × 2,5hr live online sessions) · 3-Day Deep Dive · 2-Day Facilitator Certification

Dates: 5–7 March 2027 (In person) | 10, 17, 24, 31 March 2027 — 4 × 2.5h Live Online | 9–11 April 2027 (In person) | 30 April – 2 May 2027 (In person)

Focus: Most yoga teachers know pranayama. Far fewer understand the respiratory system well enough to assess a client’s breathing, adapt their approach for different nervous system states, or facilitate a modern breathwork experience safely and confidently. This module changes that.

Over 80 hours of intensive in-person and online training, you will build a thorough, evidence-informed foundation — from the mechanics of how we breathe to the neuroscience of why it matters. You will study the classical pranayama tradition alongside contemporary breathwork approaches, and develop the practical skills to work with clients one-to-one or in groups. The 2-Day Facilitator Certification at the close of the module prepares you to hold breathwork sessions professionally, with clear ethical boundaries and scope of practice.

By the end of this module you will:

  • Understand the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system and how breathing affects the nervous system

  • Assess a client’s breathing patterns and design appropriate interventions

  • Teach classical pranayama and facilitate modern breathwork experiences safely

  • Work within clear ethical guidelines and scope of practice as a breathwork facilitator

Topics: Respiratory anatomy & physiology · Functional breathing · Pranayama · Modern breathwork · Nervous system regulation · Breath assessment · Teaching & facilitating breathwork · Ethics & scope of practice

Module 2 | Intelligent Sequencing & Class Design with Franzi

(40 hours)

Format: 2 long Weekends · + homework hours (energetics study & practice log, additional to contact hours)

Dates: 15–17 May 2027 (In person) | 5–6 June 2027 (In person)

Focus: Asana is an energetic practice, not just a physical one — it works on the body, the nervous system, and the mind. Depending on which asanas are taught and how they’re sequenced, students can feel very different immediately after class — and different again over months and years of practice. There is a difference between a class that flows and a class that has been genuinely thought through. This module teaches the second kind.

Over two weekends, you will build a foundation in the five Vayus — Prana, Apana, Udana, Vyana, Samana — and the energetic qualities of core posture categories: forward folds, backbends, twists, and more. You will study Vinyasa Krama, the principle of intelligent progression, and learn to design sequences for a student’s level of experience as well as for specific purposes.

From there, you will study the principles that give a sequence coherence — how to build toward a peak, how to develop a theme that runs through every moment of a class, and how to design progressive programming across multiple sessions so students genuinely develop over time. A significant portion of the module is dedicated to workshop and retreat design: the architecture of a multi-hour or multi-day experience, how to pace it, how to build content that serves the container. You will also explore how sequencing needs to adapt for different populations and contexts — beginners, mixed levels, and specific groups.

By the end of this module you will:

●      Understand the five Vayus and the energetic qualities of core posture categories, and use this to inform sequencing decisions - Apply Vinyasa Krama (intelligent progression) to design sequences for different levels of experience and specific purposes - Build classes with clear purpose, progression, and arc using established sequencing principles

●      Develop themes that run coherently through an entire class or series

●      Design multi-session programmes that create measurable development for students - Plan the structure and content of workshops and retreat schedules with confidence

Topics: Asana as energetic practice · The 5 Vayus (Prana, Apana, Udana, Vyana, Samana) · Posture categories & energetic qualities · Vinyasa Krama (intelligent progression) · Sequencing for level & purpose · Theme development · Peak pose sequencing · Progressive multi-session programming · Workshop & retreat design

Module 3 | Yoga Philosophy & Living Yoga (40 hours) with Franzi

Format: 2 Weekends · 4 Live Online Discussion Sessions plus 10 hrs homework (reading & reflection, additional to contact hours)

Dates: 11–13 June 2027 (In person) | 14-15 August 2027 (In person) | 24 June - 5 August 2027 every second Thursday 2.5h Live Online sessions (18.30-21.00)

Weekend mornings include asana practice.

This course is designed to further the understanding of humanity and the world through an introspective practice and a consideration of the ideas of various wisdom traditions, with Yoga at its heart. We work with the Yoga Sutra, selected passages of the Bhagavad Gita rather than the full text, and explore the Shiva-Shakti mythology as the philosophical backbone of Tantra Yoga — the root of the Hatha Yoga traditions.

A few non-yogic texts are brought in too, so you can see how universal these ideas really are — especially how yogic wisdom developed into Buddhism’s Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path. Meditation practices embody the teachings directly, and group self-study builds real insight into how your own mind works and how you relate to others and the world. Self-enquiry threads through every session — because the best philosophy teaching comes from teachers who have genuinely wrestled with these ideas themselves.

By the end of this module you will:

  • Use the Yoga Sutras as an overall guide to yogic practice

  • Work with selected passages of the Bhagavad Gita and understand the Shiva-Shakti mythology as the philosophical backbone of Tantra and the Hatha Yoga traditions

  • Understand yogic symbolism: Patanjali, Anta, the blue throated Shiva and others

  • Recognise the universality of yogic ideas through non-yogic texts, including how yogic wisdom developed into the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path of Buddhism

  • Develop a personal meditation practice, and use group self-study to understand the workings of your own mind and your modes of relating to others and the world

  • Built the trust to develop your own take on what it is that Yoga and other wisdom traditions try to point towards.

  • Be able to teach what is within you from your heart rather than a script.

There will be a wide selection of texts that you can read, however the course is designed in such a way that you will benefit vastly even if you don't want to spend hours reading.

Topics: Yoga Sutras · Yamas & niyamas · Bhagavad Gita (selected passages) · Tantra Yoga Shiva-Shakti mythology · Cross-tradition texts (Meister Eckhart) & Buddhism (Four Noble Truths, Eightfold Path) · Meditation · Self-study & modes of relating · Applying philosophy to modern teaching

Module 4 | The Asana Lab: Adaptation, Assisting & Intelligent Practice with Katy (60 hours)

Format: 3 Weekends · Final Practical Assessment

Dates: 20–22 August 2027 (In person) | 17–19 September 2027 (In person) | 9–10 October 2027 (In person)

Focus: This is the most practical module in the programme. Over three intensive weekends, you will develop the observation skills that separate good teachers from exceptional ones — the ability to read a body quickly and accurately, identify limitations and strengths, and make smart decisions in real time.

Modifications, props, and accessibility are treated as core skills, not afterthoughts. Progressions and regressions are taught systematically so you always know where to take a student next. Hands-on assisting is covered in depth — technique, timing, consent, and the ethical responsibilities that come with touch. Common injuries and physical limitations are studied so you can teach with both creativity and appropriate caution. The module closes with a final practical assessment, and most students describe it as one of the most confidence-building experiences of their teaching career.

By the end of this module you will:

  • Observe and assess students quickly and accurately during a live class

  • Select and apply intelligent modifications, props, progressions, and regressions for any individual

  • Offer hands-on assists safely, skillfully, and within clear ethical guidelines

  • Teach confidently across a wide range of bodies, abilities, and physical limitations

Topics: Observation skills · Intelligent modifications · Props & accessibility · Progressions & regressions · Hands-on assists · Ethical touch · Common injuries & limitations · Teaching different bodies

Module 5 | Professional Practice & Mentorship with Katy (40 hours)

Format: 2 Weekends · 4 Online Mentoring Sessions · Final Teaching Portfolio

Dates: 16-17 October 2027 (In person) | 23–24 October 2027 (In person) | 4x Online sessions till end of October 2026

Focus: Most yoga teacher trainings end before the hard questions begin. This one is built around them. Module 5 is structured in three parts:

Professional Teaching — Finding and deepening your authentic voice, sharpening your cueing and communication, learning to hold space with real confidence, and navigating the challenging situations every working teacher eventually faces. You will gain practical experience teaching private clients, and bring to life the workshops and retreats designed in Module 3 — this time in front of real groups, with mentor feedback.

Professional Development — The less-visible skills that sustain a long career: professional ethics and boundaries, reflective practice, giving and receiving feedback well, and the particular rewards and responsibilities of mentoring newer teachers.

Building a Sustainable Career — The practical realities of working as a yoga teacher — branding, marketing, pricing, studio relationships, contracts, insurance, financial management, and the habits that protect you from burnout over the long term. This section is direct, practical, and covers what most trainings leave out entirely.

The module closes with a final teaching portfolio and individual assessment that draws together everything developed across the full programme.

By the end of this module you will:

  • Teach with a clear, confident, and authentic voice across different formats and contexts

  • Build and sustain a professional teaching practice with sound business foundations

  • Navigate professional ethics, boundaries, and challenging teaching situations with clarity

  • Complete a final teaching portfolio that demonstrates your full development as a teacher

Topics: Authentic teaching voice · Cueing & communication · Private clients · Workshop facilitation · Retreat facilitation · Professional ethics · Reflective practice · Mentoring · Branding & marketing · Pricing · Contracts & insurance · Managing finances · Preventing burnout

Franzi Schill

Franzis relationship with Yoga started more than 15 years ago when curiosity struck and she wanted to find a practice to connect movement with the mind. Ashtanga Yoga became the canvas for her ongoing research of how physical and mental patterns are interconnected, how introspection can enhance connection or in other words: how she can create space within herself to invite the fullness of life into her own being. Life is sweet.

Franzi teaches Yoga with a focus on the individual interests and needs of the person in front of her and a desire to support that persons transformative process. Through passing on whatever she has learned or found out she hopes to contribute to furthering an understanding of humanity, the world and life in general.

Besides Yoga Franzi spends her time working as a Gestalt Therapist, meandering through the woods with her beloved dog, reading and writing poetry and enjoying deeply the connection to the people and beings that she is lucky to have in her life.
